In the grounds of the Smiddy House is the building that was the original village Smiddy, or Blacksmiths, which dates back some 250 years.

Once the hub of village life when horses were the main method of transport, the Smiddy had lain empty for some years and has fallen into disrepair. It has recently undergone an extensive renovation, sympathetically combining the old and the new to create a top quality holiday home...
